    don't kill me ... but I think AAT (Apple Typography) is better then OTF.

    OTF may be more handy and I prefer working with it most of the time, but for some uses where more advanced typographic options were needed AAT was the better choise. (eg.: internally developed software that generates a cover layout to be digitally folio-printed allowed for fine outline compensation with AAT fonts that did not make positioning weird)

    To every claiming OTF is better the TTF and pointing out their preference:

    1. OTF is the next generation of TTF.
    2. Many .ttf files are actually OpenType as it supports both extensions
    3. OTF contains TTF with some extra features, there is no real competition there. It's like comparing windows XP and 7 - may be a little more lightweight and simple, but that's where the competition ends.

    Otf :)

    I prefer .otf files, although it is always better original source file, it is useless to have a converted file.
