    Epson Surecolor SC-T7000 / SC-F6000 for Sublimation

    Hi all,
I've received a message and thought it would be better to answer it here:

    Hi,

I read your post on forum that you have Surecolor SC-T7000 and you do not have problems with banding.
I intend to buy this printer or SC-F6000 (but this printer is more expensive) for printing with sublimation inks.
I do not know what the difference is between these two printers?
I need your advice if T7000 would be good for sublimation with refillable cartridges? Are you using refillable cartridges?
I would be pleased with your response,

    best regards from Slovenia,

The SC-F6000 is part of Epson's new sublimation line. It has a bulk system built in. They will warranty the head as long as you buy expensive Epson sublimation inks. The head is also said to be laminated. Their argument is that sublimation ink is harmful to the print head. The F Series is also nearly twice as expensive so for us the tradeoff wasnt worth it.

We have a T7000 we've been operating without issue. We bought a bulk system off Alibaba and its been working fine. I don't know about the refillable cartridges. :/

    Hope this helps someone.

I will print with Epson DS sublimation inks. I read that heads on both printers are the same. TFP heads.
