    distortion factor

    Does anyone know how to calculate distortion factor for Nilpeter FA4?

    I wonder how the thickness of the mounting tape is taken into account?

    Well, then I have all the calculations of divergent :-(
    if you use a calculator Dupont - distortsiey = 6.067 mm
    if you count yourself - 4.77 mm
    when you install the machine - recommended 5.77 mm ....

    Most of the article are actually talking about distortion but not the factor.

    I remember some one told me this before. The calculation is something like plate thickness + tape thickness...

    You can go to flexo plate website like Mac Demid, Dupon, BASF, .. to find suitable distortion.

    After some investigation, "K Factor" is what I'm looking for.
    It's a good idea to measure everything yourself (plate, type...etc). Don't always rely on manufacturer spec.

    I've learned that it is best to make your own formule for the matterials you use yourself. Though I was counting the distortion factor in Offset printing varnishing blanket, but the idea is pretty much the same. I you are interrested in my calculations, visit my post
