Check before updating to Lion OS

I updated to Lion OS before I checked the PPC issues with programs already installed. Don't make my mistake, check first. It's took me several days of work arounds & updates to get back to a system that I could use to do my job.
    Be warned.

    Yes, you are right.

However, to avoid any troubles before moving to Lion, just follow my tutorial to know which applications will not run on Lion.

    Hope that helps

you may also take a look at this:

BTW: you don’t need terminal like tony14 suggested in the other thread. Just use system-profiler > Software>Applications, sort by kind. if a textfile is needed you can copy/paste the results from the lower window.

I don't want to come across as offensive, but IMHO it beggers believe that anyone who uses their Mac for production would install the very first release of Lion on anything other than an external drive.

Maybe you're fresh from the Dark Side (but then you ought to know better), or maybe you don't recall the trouble we had with the initial move from OS9 to OSX all those years ago, but for goodness sake, at least wait until we've had a few bug fixes.

    Note taken about Lion update

Lion OS is working fine atm. After some updates to installed software, mainly Pitstop 10 & Quite Imposing Plus 3, every thing is fine. Only problem at present is locating printer drivers for an Epson Stylus Pro we have - however only used once in a blue moon now days.
