Adrian Frutiger's Frutiger is great as well. Designed to be very legible.

Depends on the company and the image you are trying to convey

Usually start with Futura or Meta. A couple great fonts that are similar and less often used are Alright Sans and FF Utility. Graphik, Parisine, and Museo Sans are great modern fonts that are more friendly.

I really like National as it is a good balance between modernity and more traditional serifed fonts.

I've just recently revised mine with Century Gothic. I like nice round clean fonts. Gil Sans is also a favourite of mine.

    Helvetica

There's a reason why Helvetica is the number one font of all time

Best Font for a company logo/letterhead

Imho you can't go wrong with a font from the Didot family. I think they're very elegant and looks very professional and has a timeless classiness to it..

    Hope this helps!

Depends on your logo? try and pick a font that works with that first. i tend to use Museo Rounded quite a bit.

    Sans Serifs I highly enjoy

    Futura
    Avenir
    Avant Garde
    Gotham
    Engraver's Gothic
    Swiss
    Eurostile
    Myriad
    Helvetica
    Arial

I have used and/or seen all of these fonts used in business applications. Really what you need to decide is what letters you are using and which font you respond to those best in. GOOD LUCK!
