Suitcase is my favorite. And of course FontNuke to clean up all my problematic font cache and keep fonts working as intended!

    Can anybody give some arguments?

To be sincere, I vote up FontExplorer because is the only one i´ve ever try, It works for me.

But I´ve been recently checking Suitcase Fusion and it allows to preview fonts combinations (like headlines, sub-headlines, body...) without actually activating them. It also allows to save this combinations of fonts which is really awesome! That single feature would make me thing about changing all my fonts there :)

Any recommendation? Disagreements? Does anybody have ever used some of this apps and have strong arguments to recommend one of theses guys?

    This I love from FontExplorer:

    - Preview on Browser
    - Library management (move the whole library, copy, etc.)
    - Tags

    Uts

My 10 cents, as I'm new here... I'm the admin of a Universal Type Server v4 Lite for 10 users... It works really well for synchronizing the sets and the library for the studio. We used it for 5 years now on an old iMac Intel dedicated to this task.

Some problems with really bad fonts in the Adobe Suite, but no more freezes in InDesign (we use CC) or Illustrator. Easy to collect fonts out of the system if necessary.

The Studio have to ask me to put the fonts so the Library is clean. It makes auto backups, and works out of the box.

The only headache is when a power failure occurs, sometimes I lose the connection after reboot, and the solution is to reinstall the server application. Never loose any settings while doing that.

Have a look at this solution if you work with a team, or two-three computers sharing the files over your network. The Lite version (10 users) is worth the 1000 $ in my case.

I use Suitcase, it has a clean interface (which I appreciate a lot) albeit it's a bit slow...

I still think that Suitcase is the best font management tool for Mac. Font management has been heavy load since the introduction of OSX, and event hough that tools like Font explorerX is pretty well working, i think that Extensis make the best software.

Still using FontExplorer X from Linux. Works just fine most of the time. And it's free.
