I've used Fusion, but the last release of Font Explorer is very useful with my applications.

N of them are perfect, but I'd have to also say Suitcase Fusion. I've been using Suitcase for years and am currently using 5 in ML, it really is rock solid, fast and integrates well with Adobe apps.

Fontexplorer Pro! There really isn't any better alternative - worth every cent (even if they charged double)

    Best Font Manager

I think it depends on the number of fonts you are managing and also which platform you are using… Mac or Windows.

I’m working exclusively on the Mac Platform.

I have used all the Newest versions of font managers available including: FontAgent Pro 6, Suitcase Fusion 5, FontCase, FontExplorer X Pro 4 and even tried TypeDNA.

    1. Suitcase Fusion is NOT 64bit on the Mac (this is very disappointing) and Suitcase ran like turtle with lung cancer on my quad core Mac Pro with 16gigs of ram.
I have collected over 12 thousand fonts over the many years and Suitcase just could not handle them. Searching was extremely slow.

    2. FontCase works really well and doesn’t require any plugins for activation and it does have some unique features, but it is not as feature rich as other Apps.
I would recommend giving it a try.

    3. FontAgent 6 is a very well designed font manager and it is a true 64bit App. It handles all my 12 thousand fonts magnificently and is very fast. There are a few things I dislike about it, but overall it’s a very good font manager.

    4. FontExplorer X Pro 4 is also 64bit and it’s also a very good font manager. While it did not handle all my fonts as speedily as FontAgent it was not slow by any means. Of all the available font management apps FontExplorer X Pro 4 has the most organization and management features and is designed very well.

Download the trial versions and give each a try.

Good reviews there. Suitcase is quite possibly the worst piece of software I ever used a few years ago, it could be better now. Much prefer FontExplorer. Looks like it may be worth looking at FontAgent.
