    Anyone using Sketch over Photoshop?

For UI design? I'm thinking of switching and wondering if anyone has any good reviews.

I think they're completely different from each other... How has it affected your workflow? Can you share some examples?

I hate Photoshop for UI. It's slow and tedious, while you can get the look you want eventually. I've used Sketch, but unfortunately for me, it crashed a lot (I think I tried it before v2 came out.) I've been using Illustrator for UI, though there are certain tricks you have to use to make it work similar to photoshop—in terms of pixel sharpness. Almost always align to grid, and when importing image, make sure it's always on a whole pixel (the grid thing doesn't seem to align images.)

There's also a newer tool called Antetype which looks promising, but haven't found the time to test it out.

I've tried Antetype and liked it fine, but I'm still mostly using Photoshop.

Huge fan of sketch for UI... the export options alone are worth switching for. I have gotten a lot of use out of the tablet preview app as well.. I do not miss PS one bit.

Once you get to using Sketch for UI design, there's no turning back.

I tried, going back to Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. felt so slow (for UI).

Sketch is Illustrator, Fireworks, Keynote in one, with a community and plugins to match.

    Illustrator

Not sure if you're doing web mostly. I am, and I find Illustrator's graphic styles and symbols to be very useful for UI productivity. If you use Bootstrap or Foundation CSS frameworks a lot, there are some symbol libraries and templates out there that I find useful for tweaking a custom set.

    Illustrator

I prefer illustrator for it's integration with the rest of the adobe suite, which is helpful if you are working inn integrated campaigns and re using assets

I can't agree more with what you said. Me too, using the same tools as you.

I switched to Sketch 4 months ago and so far so good. But that's a yin yang situation cause a lot of folks still use Photoshop and ask for .psd files.

I would recommend switching to Sketch for UI based things.

I am in the process of switching over to Sketch. The ability to define symbols and typestyles is massively improving my workflow. Recommended.

I have done the switch for UI design and where it really stands out is to export. Plus, there is a lot of templates and kits to get the work done fast.

I have to admit, though, that I experienced some lag when I have a lot of assets.

Did any of you guys experienced a similar problem with Sketch 3?
