Why not use PitStop? Here's why...

PitStop is awesome, but it's also huge and slows down your Acrobat quite a bit. If all you want to do is convert text to outlines, CURVES fits the bill nicely. Can't wait for v2.1 (for use with Acrobat 10).

Curves 2.0 will NOT install into Acrobat X. Need version 2.1 for that!

On second thoughts, could try installing Curves 2.0 into Acrobat 9 on a different box and copy the plugin files to Acrobat X and see if that works, when I get time.

Can confirm Curves 2.0 can be manually installed (and works) in Acrobat X. Here's how:

    1. Install Curves 2 in Acrobat 9 (inside a VM or another box). Activate or not, it makes no difference if you're not actually going to use it in Acro 9.

    2. Go to Acrobat 9 plugins folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 9\Acrobat\plug_ins) and copy "IntelliPDF CURVES 2" folder.

    3. Copy "IntelliPDF CURVES 2" folder into Acrobat X plugins folder.

    4. I also exported 3 "IntelliPDF" reg keys from the Acro 9 VM/box, modified the program paths and imported them into the Acro X box, but I'm not sure that's actually necessary, as they're probably generated on first run of the plugin.

    5. Run Acro X, run Curves and register. Restart Curves and you're done.
