    EasyCatalog CS5 (v5.0.6)

    Overview

Ideal for time-critical publications, EasyCatalog can dramatically speed up page make-up time and ensure your documents remain error free. Trusted by thousands of users in over thirty countries across six continents, EasyCatalog has quickly established itself as one of the most powerful and flexible database publishing solutions for Adobe InDesign.

The source of your data can be something as simple as a file or, via an optional module, an ODBC database or XML file. If you've invested time and money developing a database, why not utilize it to the fullest extent by producing your print catalogs directly from it?

It's not just catalogs EasyCatalog can produce - brochures, price lists, or directories can all be effortlessly generated.

EasyCatalog also offers powerful ways to get your data onto the document - templates can be designed that specify how a record should appear when it is placed on the page. Store these templates in a library and complex pages can be constructed in seconds, containing live data, simply by dragging and dropping.

Don't fancy learning a programming language?

You don't have to - the power of EasyCatalog can be exploited without using any scripting or programming. Those who need to script are not forgotten, though, as EasyCatalog can now be controlled from JavaScript, AppleScript or Visual Basic via the optional scripting module.

    Need more?

Five optional add-in modules are now available for EasyCatalog, which extend its capabilities further.

    Modules
    • ODBC Data Provider
    • Pagination Module
    • Relational Module
    • XML Data Provider
    • Scripting Module

    hi odda,

I double checked the patch. Here is what I have did:
    1. both registration file '65bit Serial Numbers' and folder 'EasyCatalog' inside plugins folder has been removed
    2. the set of 'EasyCatalog CS5' plugins has been re-installed
    3. the patched plugin has been downloaded and placed over the original one

Here is the screenshot of 'about dialog' before entering any SN:
    4. entered the SN for the main core: (ECATCS5ASPORUFHVNXKF)
    5. the 'Activate' button has been pressed while holding down three keys Ctrl+Alt+Option to force manual activation:
    6. the option 'I already have an Activation Key and would like to activate now' has been choosed and pressed the 'Next' button:
    7. in the fields from A to J has been entered an arbitrary set of characters:
    8. the 'Activate' button has been pressed:

And finally, here is the updated 'about dialog':

    I hope this will helps!
    Cheers,
    CW

I download EasyCatalog from 65bit.com and installed it.
After the installation was finished, I overwrite 'EasyCatalog.IndesignPlugin' with the patch file, and start InDesign CS5, but InDesign warmed me the following message:

Adobe InDesign does not recognize EasyCatalog.IndesignPlugin as a valid plug-in. Please re-install the EasyCatalog.IndesignPlugin and re-start InDesign.

I don't know what's wrong for the patching. How can I do now?

Not sure, but I can assume that you unpacked zip archive under Windows, try to unpack it under OSX.

philmusiker, make sure your version if InDesign isn't too new (assuming all else is ok)

Yes, I found my previous problem is that I unzip it in Windows system.

After I decompressed it with my Mac, InDesign CS5 can start without error now.

I followed the activation steps of this post, and I still encountered 'Activation' error as attached picture.
