Has anybody here tested Monaco Profiler Platinum vs the new iProfiler to see if there is any difference in the profiles it creates and if so, which they find more pleasing to the eye? How would these compare to the other previous offering Profile Maker 5?

I googled "i1profiler review" and read some reviews a few weeks ago.

The general consensus seemed to be that there was indeed a visible difference between the results from Monaco Profiler & i1profiler and i1profiler results were more pleasing.

The tests included showing people prints made using profiles made by each profiler, but they were not told which was which, as well as "experts" who analyzed the results in a more technical way.

Still seems nuts to me that you can't profile your scanner with i1profiler, though.

As far as I could hear, I1 profiler is a mix between Profilemaker and monacoprofiler.
They took the best of each software to makke only one.
The problem to me is that you lose some function like measuretools which does not exists in I1 profiler.

Try BasICColor Print 3. I got an ideal greybalans when profiling "problem" RGB-devices.

Monaco Profiler 4.8 will work on all version of Windows. But problem apear, when You want to measure on 64-bit version of system. Communication dll libary for devices like i1 is compiled for 32 bit, and drivers in system are 64-bit. This cannot work. For that situation solution is simple. You should use Color Port utility software for measuring, after that You can open Monaco profiler session, load measurments and generate ICC profile.

    WIN 7 Ultimate x32 (Ru_ru)
Monitor Apple Cinema HD Display 30 inch
    Spectrophotometer i1Pro (UV)

Calibrating and creating a profile. Results - Nice (Fast/Simple)
(this monitor has no contrast and common RGB settings, but program's assistant is very usable)

    Thx
