Agfa Avantra works fine with ApogeeX. If you want to use the harlequin, you can download printdrive from this forum. It also works perfectly with Avantra.

Yes, I think this will work,
the Pac Board is from Highwater and designed to run on Mac and/or PC.
There are different apis boards from agfa, but the newer one is only for CTP e.g. xcailbur, galileo, avalon.(They are a litlle bit faster)
So it runs before on a viperrip with a avantra so it will run on a PC.
Put it in a PCI slot and use a Serversystem like Windows 2000, for windows 2003 you need the newest driver(PAC Driver)
The viper 192 was the best agfa rip on the Macintosh, but its very old and only PS level II.
A very good Configuration is a PDF RIP Series 3 on a PC (I have 2 offical with Dongles, IRT, 8up, apis and sublima...) Its a PS Level III Rip and with ApogeePilot Series3 (I also have 2 offical with Dongles), you can make your complete PDF-Imposition Workflow. This Workflow is very stable and not so difficult like the ApogeeX Workflow.
This configuration runs also perfect with the Printdrive.
I hope this will help you

    check
    Apis 5 Volt PAC
This was discontinued in 2001!!!!(old PC) , and replaced by the Upac board
5 volt PCI cards (PAC) present one notch.
5 volts cards have only one notch at 104.47mm from the front of
    the card.

    Apis 3.3 volt Upac
Supports 5 Volt (PCI) and 3.3 volt (PCI-X).
Typical universal PCI cards present two key notches, depending on
their signaling voltage. So called "Universal cards" have both key
notches and can accept both types of signal (3,3 and 5 volt).

You have it in install folder

path — ApoggeX5\Modules\Framework\ApogeeServer\SupportFil es\Drivers\Agfa Plug and Play PAC Driver

Guys for the color settings in the printer and save ink, use ColorTune for Agfa ApogeeX v5

The server on which you install ApogeeX must have a working network connection: If there is no network connection, the installer will fail
If you are using multiple network cards, check the network card order. ApogeeX registers on the first network card. You should not change the order of the network cards after installation, since this will prevent ApogeeX from starting up.
The computer name on which you install ApogeeX should use only the following characters: a-z, A-Z, 0-9. The name should not contain spaces, dashes, underscores, or names longer than 14 characters since some DNS servers do not support these characters.
Make sure that File sharing for Windows is enabled.
Empty your local temp folders by opening Windows Explorer, typing %Temp% in the Address box, then deleting all temporary files.
For installations on Windows 2000 platforms, you require Service Pack 4.
For installations on Windows 2003 platforms, you require Service Pack 2.
Before starting the installer, disable any firewall applications which may block communications on both the Server and Satellite systems.

    ApogeeX will not run

    What is an US IP?
Use a IP adress like this 192.168.3.xxx.
Try to setup an DNS Server and check it with nslookup
Try to connect your server to a switch and setup a little network and don´t use a lookup network adapter
It is possible to use a spanish system but setup the country settings to US english completly.
Try all the things Tualatin told here
    Hope that will help you

    CTP Calibration with ApogeeX...

    Hello curva,
as a normal user it is not possible to linearize a CTP system with ApogeeX...(You can´t see these Options!!!)
Do you have the Administrator and/or Service Level Password(s)?
If not send a PM Message and I give you the needed Passwords for calibration.
I think it should than be very easy for you.
Most of the new thermo Plates eg. Agfa and/or Kodak are very good, at 50% field they have 48-52%.
    Hope that will help you
