What's the best alternative to Quite Impose?

Hello all,

I'm currently a student in university for print management. I also work part time at a small shop that requires quick easy impositions for business cards, brochures etc.

Right now I'm using quite impose, but I know that it has problems with OsX Lion.

What's the next best alternative?

I would recommend looking at Preps. It takes a while to learn it, but once you are familiar with it, its both quick and easy, but its also way more powerful than stuff like Quite Imposing.

Imposer Pro plugin for Acrobat Pro is very simple to use.

Inp02 v4 is very good too.

whats-best-alternative-quite-impose

Hello andrewxprint,

I use a complete Apogee Eviroment, but sometimes e.g. for Imposition 16 Pagers for my Epson(1-16,-2-15...), I always use Quite Imposition, because its very easy and very fast.
I use the version No. 3,0 from this forum, but the PC Version.
I runs very good, on the Lion I don´t know, because Snow Leo I´m using, but everything for my presses I don´t use the Macs anymore.
Perhaps try a VMware on your Lion and try the PC Version, I think its runs very well for you.
Hope that will help you
kind regards
MrApogee

I agree, for years I used quite. I find preps 6 very versatile.

Preps 6 and OSX Lion

I bought a new Mac and of course it shipped with Lion. My Preps 5 can no longer run on the new Mac so I have to run back and forth to my old one (which I really don't have space for).

Does Preps 6 work well with Lion? If so, where could I find a crack / patch?

Thanks

Preps 6 is the way to go, since 5 will no longer work with the newer mac operating systems.

Stay on Quite Imposition and Switch to Mountain Lion and can use this version (works on Lion also):

http://www.printroot.com/forum/f18/quite-imposition-plus-3-0c-mac-os-x-windows-version-acrobat-x-16474/

On Acrobat X until get serial for version 3.0e.
I use succesfully under VMWare Fusion with Windows 7 Ultimate the Version 3.0c on Acrobat X as second resource if you need it.
Do not switch to PC
btw Kodak Prep is a good choice but is more difficult to use.

After using all my life Mac OS X then make direct jump from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion and it's amazing how it works. No problem with any software (only old stuff). Why still using Lion?
