Just got a dongle for Ergosoft Texprint 14. Just tried it with Mutoh Viper TX. Looks like its a right choice for digital textile printing. Only i didnt understand, why it loves tiling so much, even for works, freely fitting on print format it tiles everything up, even with edge printing on

Dont know about Efi Fiery XF, color management is in top level(we are using it for proofing with Mimaki JV ) , but interface is kind of a disaster. And when it comes down to spot colours.. its like "kapituliren"

I like Onyx best. I have tried Flexi, Wasatch, and Versaworks. But the workflow on Onyx is by far the best for me.

When I was in a prepress house, we used the BestColor RIP to drive a 40" Mutoh Falcon for newspaper proofing.

That RIP was very good and its colour algorithm was incredibly accurate even without profiling.

Sadly BestColor was eventually bought over by EFI.

I think EFI, Onyx, Ergosoft. It really depends on what you need it to do

I was working with many differents RIPs and wide format machines. Today, if i must to buy one will be the Caldera Software.

    Versaworks does the job well

...it handles large files well and yields a consistent output.

I had the same question, I also think that ergorip is not bad but onyx production house is a power house. the only thing onyx had issues with hi quality printing modes in version 10. curious if they fixed it but the way colorgate 7 is it better in terms of quality comparing to onyx 10?
