I'm a newby with wasatch, so, since a few days, I have expirimented a lot with it, and have some questions, for which I hope some support of you guys.
I have an Epson pro 9800 with photoblack.
I'm an artist and felt completely satisfied with my prints:
I developped a standard and ( almost)always used the same paper and used the drivers and paper coming with the printer.
Now I'm not so convinced about this strategy anymore, and did some expiriments with paper I did prepare myself,and I did download some icc profiles (mainly for Vinyl, since the substrate is very smooth) which where close to wat I thought I needed.
Because I could'nt finetune the results ( inks dripping, too much magenta, so the urge to reduce ink per colorchannel etc), there was suddenly an urge to work with colormanagment;
so now there is Wasatch, the need to make or change icc profiles, a densitometer etc.
till now, i do understand most of it, but it is a bit more complicated than I thought..
One of the Questions is:
Before Wasatch ,I had the effects I wanted by low DPI in printerdriver:
720x360,and did reduce ink by 17% and had maximum drying time..( prints are 3372x4921 ppi)
I can't reproduce this in Wasatch!
Does anyone have some suggestions here( ebooks about this theme etc )?
Would appriciate it...
