Telnet password for built-in Fiery controller

    Hi folks,

recently, efi installed a telnet-ON patch on my Fiery built in controller because of an error. I tried to connect to research what info I can get or change :). I know they connect from a windows platform however, I tried and no way: Telnet IP_address, from a command window over Windows Server 2008 64, default port and nor connection neither login.....

Do you have info related to this? or idea or whatever?

    I work with a Xerox C60 Exi 1.0 Sp2

    Kind regards.

    telnet connections

    You
could try a small standalone program (no installation required) called
tcpview on the Fiery controller to see if the program is running and if
    so, what port it's using...

it's a windows app from sysinternal (now part of M$)

    Good luck...

ps. obviously try the EFI password of choice - Fiery.1

If you can't install on the Fiery controller, then port scan from a local computer on same intranet to find the open port... windows has a built-in app for this - netstat.exe

Rip does not have a known OS, I mean, It could be linux based however no way to know it. Built in Fiery controllers do not run Windows.

My idea will be run an Sniffer or something similar to find out where I can get access. First of all I need to know telnet port, then user and finally password so It's going to be a very very difficult adventure.

    Anyway, thank you so much.
