simple imposition software for digital and printing press

we are now manually impositioning simple tasks for our digital printer ajnd our small offset press.
As we are getting more and more orders per day i would like to have some simple imposition softwsare that i can use for our digital AND for our printing press.
I tried preps, though nice, it has way too much features for what we need.
We basically want to impose business cards, either 1 side or 2 sided, newsletters, letterheads etc, on standard size, 32x45(SRA3)

What other imposition software can i try that can do tasks like this(not quite impose)

    Hello...

For very standarised workflows, I would suggest make a paper sized document in QuarkXPress or InDesign, draw the standard image boxes, ex. 8x5 cm, place a card once in of the boxes, centre the card, and so on for all the boxes, and the next time just place cards in place of the boxes...

I used to do this a lot for cards and simple tasks...

On a Mac, you can use (not for cards, bu for booklets, magazines in 2-up impositioning) for your digital press and printer:
Cheap Impostor, Cocoa Booklet or InDesign booklet itself...

I hope I've been of help!

May be it can be a solution, to make a pdf file with custom control bars and add it as a background in top of the page in Acrobat.

You can try "book binder 3.0". It is a very simple, free application which I have used to print 16-page booklets on digital presses. I do not know if it is good enough for offset impositions.

    hope it helps
