Brisque 3 spends too much time on rotating data.
Older Scitex rips "read" Landscape (horizontal) but Expose Portrait (vertical), based on the original orientation of the Scitex Drums.
Later, for the Lotem CTP with its' horizontal drum, they allowed (since Brisque 4) an "input orientation selection".
We have Dolev4Press some 8 years... in start was have Brisque v.3 connected with optical cables with imagesetter... after few years Brisque was too slow and to old for big files... After that we have buy Harlequin and work with Harlequin for 5 years... Harlequin is stable and good... Works good with Scitex4press... we have buyed from RTI RIPS...
Brisque 4 had the capacity to import (generic)1-bit tiffs built in.
I can check the specifics (via Hotfolder or direct Expose) if asked.
Brisque, at least my version 4.1, includes the JoBit operation that converts 1-bit TIFF files to a Brisque Job format.
However, since many rip manufacturers wish to charge for an Output Option for saving 1-bit Ripp'ed files, they make them proprietary by locking them by using special compression and encoding.
To make sure your files "have no strings attached" - try to convert one separation into PDF using acrobat, if that works, you know these files are really GENERIC.
2. Scitex Image setters can receive Data as well from other Rips that produce Tiff one Bit
As long you have the communication interface, Harlequin ,Eagle etc.

Hi, my customer have a trensetter quantum 800 with Harlequin Rip and
The connection form IBM birsque software to Trensetter was a PCI card like the SCSI card. Now the Brisque having problem, can we just bypass the Brisque
and direct send Tiff file from Harlequin Rip to Trensetter?
Or other option....We know that the Xitron have an solution is that replaced the
Brisque with the Raster Balster Tiff shooter with their communication PCI card.
Is there other option that use back the old PCI card and change the tiff shooter?
