    Esko RIP

Esko FlexRIP is very good for the printer. Esko has good Kaleidoscope color management!

    Cool

you may try out GMG or CGS as well. Most of the RIP vendor is supporting this printer, what is the important of calculation the ink consumption.

As the driver of Epson will support that too. Just to make sure you fully install the driver and utility.

    GMG colorproof

    Pros:
    Rock solid..
    color accuracy

    cons: tricky set up (difficult).

take a look at powerplotter from devstudio.
it has a plugin, costmanager, the first software that gives you the cost of any print job 1 even befor the actual print.
also has a powerful color management, a professional calibration system and a lot of other features.

All RIP's will show only the approximate cost. Cleaning costs are not taken into account.
Exact values will only show the internal counters of the device, or information from the chips.

I'm currently running the E7600 from a FlexRIP, but looking to upgrade to the E7900 with the onboard spectro. I'm not sure if there is any cost analysis in FlexRIP but I have to say that the color management integration from Color Engine 10 is very easy to follow. Is any one out there running the 7900 with the spectro from FlexRIP/FlexPROOF?
