    Quick and easy imposition/mock-up software?

    Hi folks,
has anyone heard of, or knows where to get imposition (mock-up) software, just to do quick layouts to check fit on paper and folding etc... It doesn't need to be used in the final imposition but more to show how it should be set out with margins and position on sheet with folios...It's required to show a 3rd party how to layout a job to be printed else where..??? any assistance would be appreciated, cheers.

HI, if you need an Acrobat Pro plugin, there is QUITE IMPOSE, if stand alone Kodak Preps.

Yes, Quite imposing plus seems the right tool for you.

It can generate blank test pages for you to impose and play around with.

Hi! inpO2 from Dynagram is quite nice doing it's job with PDF's and is relatively simple.
And if you want everything you can ever imagine with ipositions then SignaStation by Heidelberg is for You , on MAC - imposition wizard by impositionwizard dot com.

I think the program KODAK UPFRONT Production Planning Software would fit you.

Preps 6 is good. They have automatic ganging and more new feature.
Little tricky at start to understand.

Start with Quite Imposing Plus. If its capacity is small, then use the Kodak Preps.

    Cool Imposing Mac/PC - www.quite.com

    hallo,

    try QuiteImposing Plus - www.quite.com - native plug for Adobe Acrobat - works on Mac and PC the same way / Acrobat 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 / X!

very easy / very fast !

also try Quite a Box of Tricks and also QuiteRevealing / you can download demo/evaluation plugs from their homepage / and later active with a little key/code ...

trust me! i have the plugs in use for about 11-12 years ...

The best programm for imposition at this time is the PREPS 5.3.3.
    Quick and easy.
You can use both Postscript level 3 and PDF until version acrobat 9.
The PREPS 6.1 it's good but not easy to make templates.

If you do imposition often, preps or signastation. Depending on used workflow.

    Imposition Software

I use Quite ImposingPlus for imposiitons. v3 has a lot of improvements.

There is a function to create a blank document and then you try your Imposiition settings.

Download the demo version and it has all the functions, but watermarks the pages.

I would say Preps, but it is little complicated to create template. Once you make template it is just meter of pasting pdf or ps.
