Mimaki CJV-30-130 - What RIP works best?

    Hi all,

I used to print with Versaworks on a Roland, now I have to use a Mimaki CJV-30 130 and the Rip that came with it sucks. ( Mimaki Rasterlink Pro 5 SG ).
I don't like the workflow of Rasterlink at all, but the register marks recognition and the huge 2l ink packs are nice on the Mimaki.

What would be in your guys opinion the best RIP for that machine that can print AND Cut in go as I do mostly labels and stickers.

I suggest both FlexiSIGN-PRO and Signlab Print and Cut are what you need to replace your RasterLink

both packages seem to rather replace Illustrator than the RIP. I don't think that they are for me, but I'll try a demo.

    Thanks anyway

You can try another RIP named DigitalFactory from CADLINK. It's simple RIP and I think that is you are needing.

I'm downloading the trial, but I couldn't find any pricing. Do you know how much that is?

Try to ask your Mimaki dealer about upgrading to Rasterlink Pro 6 and the price of that. I allready tried RL6 beta and it looks fine to me.

Rasterlink pro is a cut down version of wasatch.

Id use either Wasatch, Efi Fiery XF or ONYX postershop , productionhouse. Fiery is the easiest to use.
