    Caldera Visual rip 8.0 - Working key for 6 months

    Ok, I have found a demo key for Caldera 8...

    The problems are;
    The key is locked to a mac address.
    The Key is out of date, as most demo keys only last a few weeks.
    The key dose not have the full options.

    The good news is;
    I was able to get it to work using "Oracle VM VirtualBox"
    With VirtualBox you can set the mac address in the network settings.
    Change mac address to 0019d17a04ad
    I then changed the date in the system bios to 1st Dec 2010
    This is needed because you can't install caldera before it's build date.
    Turned of linux time settings, not to update system time via internet time server.
    And we have a working version of Caldera 8...
    At least until the computer date of May 2011, 6 months...

    Currently all my tests have been using a windows 7 base system running "Oracle VM VirtualBox" and then a debian linux 64bit virtual machine.

    To get the key, copy the following text and make a text file called "acces000001.txt"

    accesACCESSNUMBER 000001
    #DONGLE USB
    HOSTID 0019d17a04ad
    CALDERA_LICENSE_FILE
    CALDERA CALDERA 8.49 0xE4000000 05/05/11 1 LNX F W3F..iSkuUQ
    CALDERA CLASS_OUT 8.49 0xE4000000 05/05/11 2 LNX F XMwsjpcii/U
    CALDERA Compose 8.49 0xE4000000 05/05/11 1 LNX F &AP#D9GgbWQ
    CALDERA RIP 8.49 0xE4000001 05/05/11 1 LNX F rhKhBhjbCz2
    CALDERA Tiling 8.49 0xE4000000 05/05/11 1 LNX F gCA%[email protected]@6
    CALDERA VISUALCUT 8.49 0xE4000000 05/05/11 1 LNX F 8ufy.D6jRZ#
    CALDERA_LICENSE_FILE

    Use key manager to locate the text file and load into caldera...

    Any questions, just ask...

    just read the 1st post to find your answers:

    debian linux 64bit
    of course you have to set the bios date of the vm and not the host pc.

    I have just got back from my summer holiday, and we have a little heatwave in Australia at the moment. Today is 43 celsius, and the next four day will be over 40.
    So it's a good time to catch up on some inside computer work.

    In regards to which linux to use;
    If you are running a 64bit processor then you need to use the debian 64bit linux.
    If you are using an older 32bit processor then you need to use kubuntu 32bit linux.

    Also remember that you must use the caldera version of the linux operating system.
    Cladera have made there own linux installer disks, the software will not load and work without using there version of linux.

    Both debian and kubuntu will run version 8.

    Caldera can work in the demo version. Because not once seen as someone gonna use it. But why? With the demo version of each print has a watermark. Unless it's changed. There are so many rip that you can pick.

    Can't work out what this message is about, I think he was trying to say that you can download a demo from caldera, but it puts watermarks on the printouts...

    Yes, this is true.

    This demo key is for a full working version of caldera, and with no watermarks.
    This key was sent to do so testing work with a new printer.

    Maybe I should have not used the word "demo" in the thread subject line.

    IF YOU FOLLOW THIS GUIDE, YOU WILL HAVE A FULL WORKING VERSION OF CALDERA V8 FOR SIX MONTHS.......
