Post Signa vs Preps

Well...

Signa works fine in Prinect system.
Preps works fine in Prinergy system.

Signa works fine in a lot of diferent imposition, no rule based.
Preps works fine in automatic workflow, self imposition jobs, repetitive tasks.

Signa doesnt works fine in full plate covering, diferent dimensions.
Preps doesnt works fine in speed impositions, easy tasks.

Signa is for low range, very variable demands, like sheetfed offset.
Preps is for high range, repetive demands, like web offset.

Preps 6.1 is the best right now

SignaStation is better before Kodak launch Preps 6.
But early Preps 6.0 still have a lot of bugs.
Since Kodak launch Preps 6.1, this must be the best imposition software right now.
Even there is a lot of things that you can't do with Signa, Preps can do it.
I can even impose a 2000 pages bible within 15 minutes with Preps 6.1

Preps 6.1 is absolutely dominating right now. Level of automation is beyond any other imposition software.

preps, signa? - why not metrix?

preps is great since version 6.1 but signa just about cought on again with version 2010 but why is no1 referring to metrix?

i think we should include it here since all the automation features really started with metrix. http://www.lithotechnics.com/faqs.html

anyone able to raise a poll on imposition favs?

Quite Imposing plus very easy

Low cost, easy to use if you're looking Quite Imposing plus course is recommended. Easy usage, you should be able to see the results immediately. All imposition also can be difficult.

signastation is also good for digital printing ?

is there a "mid-range" imposition product between quite imposing plugin and ultraprofessional tools like preps and signa apogeex etc ?
