For digital printing on HP-Indigo or Laser Printers I always used the »print brochure« option from In-Design and printed to pdf. This worked really good. Otherwise I liked to use Quite Imposing. The new version also preserves PDF-X preferences.

is there a "mid-range" imposition product between quite imposing plugin and ultraprofessional tools like preps and signa apogeex etc ?
we use signs station for digital printing.
we place pdf in signa, and write whole pages out of signa.
    works fine ...

Hi guys, we have to use InDesign and QuarkXPress, the latter I prefer but the Imposer Pro XT from ALAP used to work rather well. This was also for InDi and Acrobat too.

Wish Quark would update this XT.

    Many thanks,
    Christian

    it depends on your workflow!
Quite imposing is very nice plugin for Acrobat and should be enough for small digital printshops. But it surely not enough for larger sized printers.
My choice - Signastation! You get full control on any kind of marks and Sheet Optimizer and Packaging Pro options are invaluable, especially if you use it with other Heidelberg soft, not as standalone.

P.S. ... when everything is gone wrong, remember that you can do it all in Illustrator manually

    Quite Imposing

Quite Imposing plugin for Acrobat works great for our digital press sheet sizes and so simple to use and extremely effective for most type of jobs we do.
