    XMPie

I haven't used it in a while, but as far as I know XMPie supports QR codes. You can get a demo version on from their site but it is a relatively expensive.

I guess generate QR code dynamically, which means to have a QR personalized for each printed document.. to have a dedicated information for each reader (likely the name, sex, etc.)

Or completely different but for tracking purpose... you can put so many information with QR... so :)

    after 'googling' a while,...

Now I understand what speed_399 mean with QR Codes on VDP
Maybe it's not available by now, but I think in the near future Printshop Mail would have plugins to generate QR codes (hopefully)

your requirement (to adopt this technology) is simply 'too much' right now .....

PrintShop Mail works with the DirectSmile plugin.

You might want to check with your local DirectSmile dealer if it supports dynamic QR code generation.

Depending upon which version of PSM you have dictates which 2D barcodes you can Print - If you have version 6.02 and earlier you can only use Data Matrix, PDF417 and Maxicode. Later versions support all 2D codes including QR Codes.
Goto the PSM site and download the plugin for 2D codes.

We print dynamic QR-codes daily. We were using custom software up until a few months ago. Now we use Fusion Pro. It's great for some things like variable barcodes and simple automation. It does however have a few frustrating limitations if your looking to use it as a complete variable data solution, but if your just doing basic stuff you can't beat all you get for $799.

Print any bar or QR codes in Printshop

I`m print all types of codes in Printshop mail. Generate codes as pictures (bmp, wmf, eps) from barcodes application (used zoner barcodes, it`s old programm :)) and insert in printshop template as variable pictures. Printshop generated big size file, but it`s work.

What you can do is use some QRcode software to generate the images of the QRcode and then use Printshopmail and use as variable images...

Why not do it all in one step using DesignMerge? It will create the QR code as the job is being printed, just like any other piece of variable information you would have on the layout right inside InDesign.
