Question Spread PDF in single page with bleed

    Hi people,

I'm in trouble and would like your help.
One of my partners I always send PDFs in SPREAD and need it separates in single pages with bleed, because we do a different finish in their jobs.

Currently I place the PDF in Indesign and export page by page.

Does anyone have a more practical solution? some plugin?

    Thank you for your attention

it is very easy to do with callas or heidelberg pdftoolbox. pitstop can do this as well.

just to be sure: we are not talking about extracting pages from one file to many files here.
your problem is a spread which has to be "cut" in two halves.
    right?

You want to split, say, an A3 spread, pages 2-3, 3-4 etc? Make up a template in Indesign with 2 A4 pages set up as spreads. Place your pdf into the template then re-export as a new pdf in single pages. Works like a charm everytime and it doesn't matter where the pdf comes from. Otherwise set up an action in pitstop to crop all the left hand pages and then all the right hand pages, saving them out as single pages.

exactly this is the "problem". you can use action lists or preflight profile (category: page size) for cropping the page but you have to do it twice. as mentioned before: this s much easier in one of the pdfToolboxes (callas or heidelberg).

but perhaps even a free javascript solution fits your needs. search (the web) for "khk splitting-pdf-pages"

    Quite is the answer

Use Trim and Shift, reorder and recombine in Quite Imposing.

if you have quite imposing, is easy.
First you use command "Undo 3 meger altenate..." in "Shuffle even/odd" command, you choose even and odd document the same file. Then ok. You will have document has 2x pages, with every page is duplicated.
Then you can use Crop command to set Crop Trim Bleed etc... to Even or Odd page independently.

    Indesign PDF separation

You can easily separate pages in indesign-- you can tell they are separated because they stack as single pages in the Pages Panel. I think I go into the Pages panel and right-click for those options. Sorry for being vague-- it's been a while since I've had to do single-page separation but it's pretty intuitive once you're looking at the options.
