Large format printer says my PDF requires Output Profile embedding??

    Hi

I have a CMYK PDF that I have sent to outwork as it will be printed on a large format banner, but the Bureau is reporting that there is no profile attached to my PDF so it defaults to their rip's standard setting, which is truly awful (it made a 60% black come out pink!)

Does anyone have any idea what I have to do to get the file outputting correctly? When I print it through my Prinect workflow here to my Epson 7800 the colour is perfect.

    Thanks

This answer will only know the Bureau. Ask them what profile they will expected. Ideally, they make it available to you. Otherwise change the printing-company.

    Best regards

If its a Adobe CS file, try exporting the pdf using the "high Quality print" pdf preset. It retains all attached profiles.

If you are using an Adobe CS program you should be able to embed a CMYK colour profile in the Output>Colour Conversion/Destination/Profile Inclusion Policy settings in the 'Export Adobe PDF' dialog box.

If your not sure what change in there, select the [PDF/X-1a:2001] Adobe PDF Preset (at the very top of the dialog box, drop-down menu) as this selects your current working profile and embeds it automatically.
