Ink control between Apogee and Roland machine

    Hi guys,

does someone knows how to control ink on MAN Roland and Apogee X? Roland machine is little older and not supported CIP3 nor CIP4. Machine have only memory card input.

What is the easiest way to set up ink before printing?

    thanx

You may use a plate scanner or a third party product like InkZone Perfect.

I don't have InkDrive option in ApogeeX. I can only generate 1 bit tiff.
But this files are too big for sending through ethernet.

LowRes 1 bit tiff is more than enough to generate ink key settings, you don't need the HiRes 1 bit tiff (the ones used for imaging plates). I'll search a solution for you, send me a PM with your e-mail address.

You need to transfer ink preset data to a console somehow. Printflow manufactures MAN Roland job card emulators to transfer ink coverage information directly to RCI consoles. They emulate original MAN Roland job card functions and allow online communication with them.

If anyone knows, tell me if you can not use the MAN Roland Pecom PrepressLink pass to Roland 300 data of Ink Zone Presetting. What device could replace the native JobCard Drive? What do I need to copy the files to the card?
