Heidelberg Signa 2015 Pressroom manager / Prinect prepress interface

Do I have to take Pressroom Manager and Prinect Prepress, bundled with the Prinect Signa Station, or can only be used individually with Signa Station Prinect Prepress Interface, MetaDimension, Prinec Shoter, Prinect Renderer.

What I found says that I have to buy because of the 2015 Prinect Integration essential part of the package, without Pressroom Manager and Prinect Prepress, will not work ??

    Prinect 2015 requirements

Since Prinect 2013, Heidelberg is not offering a standalone RIP like Meta Dimension for new customers anymore. The Prinect Renderer must be purchased instead, which requires a basic (minimal) installation of Prinect Prepress Manager.
All other products like Signa Station, PDF Toolbox, Prepress Interface, Pressroom Manager, Color Toolbox, Prinect Shooter still can be used in stand alone installations and foreign workflow environments.
However, abandonment of Meta Dimension is solely a marketing decision. You still get upgrade to an existing Meta Dimension, if you own Meta Dimension of any previous version. Amazingly, the update package of MD 2015 can very well be used for a complete new installation. All you'll need is a license (upgrade) key.
Since the functionality of Renderer is gravely limited in comparison to a fully functional Meta Dimension RIP, and it requires a Prepress manager installation, there is no reason and no common sense to switch over from Meta to Renderer, unless you can't get an upgrade license for Meta Dimension.
