    Esko Software Platform (Suite 16)

    Hi all,

    Esko are to show off their latest software in Suite 16, or as it will now be called "Esko Software Platform"

    Code:
    Only the registered members can see the download links/content. please Register to gain full access.
    Highlights of the drupa release of the Esko Software Platform include:

    More software modules made available as Software as a Service (SaaS) and subscriptions;
    Improved 3D support, especially when viewing objects in WebCenter and on mobile devices;
    A new Content Management module for WebCenter;
    ArtPro+, a totally new platform-independent native PDF prepress editor;
    New tools and libraries for multi-part POP design in ArtiosCAD 16;
    Planogram interface for Store Visualizer 16;
    New set of automated quality assurance tools in Automation Engine;
    Esko hardware integration in the workflow (Automation Engine Device View);
    Improved user experience across all applications.

    Looks interesting, I personally am looking forward to ArtPro + the Native PDF Editor.

    Thanks

    Sc

    ap+ is far away from being a full standalone pdf editor!
    no text functions and no multipage until now.

    wait another one or two years!

    i bet on the 2 years, since they don't issue Suites with odd numbering, the next one must be 'Platform 18', in 2018

    Fast ≠ Money

    Fast is not quite their business model... but it pays off!

    You're right. I bet on 2 years too. Indeed no. 17 is an unlucky number in some countries, maybe in Belgium too.
    Money? Yes, you're right again. Esko is a over 400 million € company...
    Ok, Platform 18, we're waiting for it.
    Or P20?

    artpro+ is no serious replacement for packeedge right now!

    no multipage, no powertrapper, no step and repeat, no....

    just wait another two years!

    Thanatos is my 'neighbour' from southern europe and i bet he's using a genuine installation at work...

    You know how the upgrades work with customers, they take their time, and with esko it's really best to take some time while they release the .0, .0.1, .1, .2, .3.....

    nevertheless v16 is far from being new and has entered it's 'descending stage' as i'm sure we'll have v18 by the end of this year.

    cheers
