    files

    pdf.

To be more focused in the problem.

The file contains not only black (not black 100) elements like text and schemes (like crosswords) but also colored images and texts

    thanks

You have solutions, first, correct by you this problem with Pitshop like say dbovan's advice.
But is better to educate your clients to make your life more easy. If clients have Acrobat Pro then they can use Print Production option to control the PDF before send to you.
CLIENT SIDE WORKFLOW: On Acrobat/Tools/Print Production select Output Preview and here the client can check a common error to send to you black text color that is not "black" because can have mix it with another colors... OK, can be black at the eyes but is not a 100% black for press and need more work of printer to get that black instead of using a 100% CYMK Black (for example a Process Black is better than a "mix black" with a little percent of gray, for friendly printing of black text). Playing with Checking and unchecking colors on Output Preview you can get an idea of which is the best way to prepare the PDF with your client and you, and is better to change on Indesign on swatches to a color that match client's wishes and is a better way to print on your side before create the PDF. Ok, not all clients are the same but this tool is very useful and easy to use.

    Pitstop

Unfortunatly customers sometimes don't follow basic rules.

The main problem is in case of scans of business card or advertising that results not only black.

I'll try to solve with pitstop

That means bitmap. I doubt if it can be solved by Pitstop. You may need to edit it manually in any bitmap editing application.

PitStop Pro: Global Change, grab Fill (in 4 colour) select 100% K and Apply. Simple

Can you do that with bitmap compose of picture and text (bitmap)?

You have the text as a bitmap - I hope that the resolution is 300-600 dpi...
Pitstop will allow you recolour ONLY text and vector to 100% black. Pictures will be gray.
Years ago I used pdf enhancer. There ar settings to turn every colour and greyscale to spot black. Try this. Or if the color density is high try to set to monochrome in RIP...
Of course, the best in this case to contact the author of pdf, and find a solution.

    Edit: Now I remembered solution.
Open the document in CorelDraw, select a picture and then turns it into BW 1bit (Bitmaps -> Convert to bitmap) or edit in Corel Photo-paint (Image -> Convert to BW (1bit) then select "Conversion method" Line Art...

If you need vector and rastr to Black use "Quite a box of tricks - Colors - All colors to grayscale". Then use pitstop to change all gray vectors to 100% black (Action or global change)

    Thanks everybody,

unfortunatly you all are right, there's no " solution", only the customer can solve the problem.

The main problem is that customer often pretend to have clean print but the file is not correct.
