I used to have Monaco OptixXR Pro Edition then upgraded with GretagMacbeth EyeOne Pro with Eye-One Match

If you have a HWcalib. monitor, use the aplication from manufactuer.
In case of nor HW calib. you have to use any SW calibration. I have best results with GretagMacbeth ProfileMaker. Fine gray tunning :)

I usu the data pro spyder color, is a gauge, and I get good colors on the monitor

Use nec specview+i1 pro
i1ProfilerD2LionEdition paired with Eye One Display 2.
But I have to report that the first time I bought the Eye One Display 2 the hardware had a problem and it took more than a month, after I've brought it back the day after I purchased it, to have it analysed and X-rite confirming it was broken.
In the meantime I could not profile my monitor because they simply did not want to exchange the not working product!
