    Monitor profiling for Linux

And what about if you work unter Linux?

I recently found a tool, which is under development and with software included (Linux version). Its called ColorHug and you can find it on

The new X-Rite software is great
I would also suggest the i1 Display Pro and the i1 Profiler Software

I used i1 with Profile Maker to create profile monitor (PC).

Could everyone please share experience when create profile for Mac (with i1 and Profile Maker software)?

    Thanks you very much!

iProfiler is illsuited for monitorprofiling as it is not using the internal LUT of the monitor.

So you have to chose the right software for your monitor.

e.g. Eizo ColorEdge series -> Eizo ColorNavigator
e.g. Nec Spectraview series -> Nec Spectraview II (US) or Nec Spectraview Profiler 5 (Europe)
    ...

You can also use "generic" software which supports internal LUT manipulation like BasicColor 5 or ColorEyes.

I got the spyder4 express. Just didn like how it did it all for me automatically. Not even set the brightness or contrast. Just off it went.

Have replaced for a spyder pro - hopefully should be better, all my monitors seem way out now I've messed with it all

I use a Quato iColor Display software because it generates a report comparing the monitor with the standard UGRA, assures me that the quality of the monitor.
Note: use the hardware i1 pro
