    Hi guys,

How can I read a color with i1?
I want to read it so that I can work it on Photoshop later.

If only you need is L*a*b* values, then you can use any tool, for example, Measure Tool from X-Rite ProfileMaker. For such purpose no need to buy it. Download, install, use it.
    Cheers,

You could also use X-Rite's free ColorPort utility.
There you can click the Measurement Status Info button.
    Another solution is ArgyllCMS spotread.

I1Profiler is useful, you can defind any colorbar you need to measure.
BTW, PatchTool is a powerful tool , and free to use, which means you can find the active code free , good luck!
