Printing through PS CS5 vs Adobe Color Printer Utility

    Hello,

I edit my photos in PS CS5 and print on an Epson 7800. When printing through PS, the prints have a greenish color cast to them. When I print the same file through ACPU, the print comes out perfect.

Do any of you know what may be causing this?

(My LCD has not been color calibrated with the use of any hardware. I'm neither an expert on all of the settings in the PS print dialog box either.)

    Thank you.

If you are trying to print profiling target, then I suggest you to remove all ICC profiles from windows OS that are assigned to your printer.

Then you have to turn off printer management in you printer driver.
Also since photoshop cs5 does not have "color management off" options you must asign RGB1998 profile to your target, then when printing select "photoshop manages colors", then select "adobe1998 as printer profile", then select rendering intent "relative colorimetric", make use Black point in not checked.

This makes null-transform, in other words colors do not change. Try it this way.
