    Printing ICC Profiles

Hey, Does anyone know how to easily create an ICC profile for Printing?

I tried ProfileMaker but i could only creat Input profiles and/or edit outputs(Printing) profiles.

    I use a Mimaki JV33-160 4 Colors (CMYK).
Using MacTac. Profile with 4 Passes 720p.

    Hope hearing from somebody!!

    Cya!

Do you really need it? I've printed charts, measured them by i1, created profile and then compared results with standard fogra's profiles. Fogra was better :)

Is Fogra just for press profiles?

I'm not sure of any easy way... It's all semi time consuming, even with using onyx or wasatch.

With ProfileMaker you can create output ICC profiles. If you need a free solution, just try the ARGYLL solution

You should first have your monitor screens and printers calibrated first

It will take you about a day to figure it out. Even with guidance from everyone on this site. You will learn from experience. I would use Onyx and its media manger along with a good calibrated x-rite DTP41 or x-rite I1 extreme. Print your targets, Adjust your color saturations, Print more targets, measure targets, Print more targets, measure more targets. It takes a while to get the results you are looking for but with time you will learn to get the colors exactly the way you want. Good Luck!
