    2. Separation settings (UCR, GCR max. tone value sum, black start etc.)
    3. Minimum patch amount for create a good Icc profile?

    Hi!

    1. i1profiler. Or ProfileMaker 5.10(old but still good).

    2. I use different profiles :) One is NoK for designs where we can't use Black Ink. Second is Max K. Used for example in designs with Dark Brown colors. Third is GCR3 or GCR4(you can try other settings for best results in YOUR designs) with Black start 50-60. With this setting black cut(2% to 0%, don't know how in english, sorry:) ) is masked by second dark ink. For example - in Red colors when Cyan is more than 60% Black ink added. Also have profiles with Triplex and Duplex settings (CYK, MYK and other). Of course all of this settings used for conversion. For assigning profiles you can use only one GCR. And often i convert complicated images in 2-3 different profiles.

    3. If your print IS linearized then some says that you can use less patches. Else - bigger is better. We have good result 1500 patches. And for better result you must average 3-5 measures.

    Flexo profiles

    Hi Kamilo

Just for information, the main problem with the flexo printing profile is the difficulty to obtain exactly the same print each time. If you are an integrated studio, it's a good thing.
    1) Don't hesitate to make multiple fingerprints printed with a "production" speed... It's usual to have a low speed for patches to try to obtain the better result; it's an error!
    2) Keep always the same "colour group" configuration and if it's not 1-C, 2-M, 3-Y, 4-K, create a new chart with the same sequence used on the machine (personally I using ProfileMaker, it's easy to do with it and the ECI2002R chart is a good base)
    3) Like Alexil I create 3 profiles for each media used: No K (CMY), Long K (to obtain a grey composed only with Black for the treatment of shadows for example) and a short Black (create the curve yourself) for majority of images and for to keep Black only for contrast.

    I hope this help you.

Also it's usual to use "process" mounting tape, low presure, wrong color balance. Often anilox for process printing are not the same. All of that variables must be correct and written.
