    Heidelberg PrintOpen charts and DTP20

There are no charts made for dtp20 on the charts distribution for Color Toolbox, for their RGB PrintOpen charts.

Is it possible to create and read those charts through ColorPort instead?

    Hello!

Yes, you can, you need to have the definition of the target as a text then import to color port with the DTP20 selected.

It works without any problem. Which chart are you looking for?

For chart called: POXT1_RGB.tif for instance, you can copy/past and saved PlainText the following then import to ColorPort for your measurement device:

    Code:

Thanks for your reply, very helpful!

Yes, I was planning to print for an RGB printer. The only option is PrintOpen if I'm not mistaken. Where do I find the definition files for the charts? I couldn't find them on the chart distribution. Or are they encoded as meta-data inside the tif file?

    you are welcome.

I do not if Print Open is the only solution (I don't know why it should be..) but... to answer your question, you can generate text file from image from different software such as Chromix for instance.

If my answer is helpful, please click on the "Thanks" button below :-) Appreciated

The manual suggested only PrintOpen provides RGB charts. Do you know of a better solution for RGB printers?

    Hello!

hmm... why not ProfileMaker with its MeasureTool? you can generate RGB chart according to your requirements... whatever the device, then save it... finally pick up the generated chart's description text file (via the finder/explorer) and load it with ColorPort , and generate a new chart for your Pulse!

For sure it works... however, you might be able to already find out some RGB standard chart etc. and just need to adapt them for your measurement device.

    Hope that helps.

I will try what you suggest and see if I can get improved results from Heidelberg's profile creator.

Do you found the solution with DTP20?
Could you say which software (or combination) is optimal for profiling with DTP20?
