    Yes, it is an OEM version of the X-Rite i1. You need additional software to use with it to build media profiles, optimize, verify proof, etc.

    Yes, of course. Oem version I1 Pro its not licensing for X-Rite software only.

    It's not a question of printer but a question of software used and what do you want to do.
    But be carefull the uv cut version is not suitable for every use, for example it's not good for proofing.
    And if you are using paper with high OBA the resulting color profile would look strange because of the uv cut. Usually now the software use software calculation for OBA.
    So the uv cut spectro is nowadays mostly used as a densotometer on high OBA paper.
    Or for very special paper like photo paper in a subliamation printer. For other use it's better to have a non uv cut spectro.

    So it's mainly depending on what you want to do with your epson 9600?
