    dot measurement in prints

I'm begining to learn about colour profiles, press calibration... And I'm very confused about some questions.
of this is about dot measurement in sheet after print.
If I have on my design app a halft of 45% (for example), when I print, do I have to measure in sheet 45%?
    Thanks in advance

What you ask if for linearitation purposes? I mean read a degradation of a scale. Normally per each color (C M Y K for example)

You got to know what you want before knowing what you need....

I want to know how calibrate my printer... and I want to know a basic overview.

I think is basic to know first that I want my printer output.

If I sent to printer a halft of 45%, and my printer prints a halft of 45%, It's right?

I'm confused about dot gain and more....

    Hello Markos,

Search in forum informations about ISO 12647 - if you want to calibrate your printer using this rules...

And apply it in your CTP curves.
