    Hi Guys,

    Please need advise on which is the best rip to use for Epson or a Roland.

    Please HELP!

    Hello,
    with Roland you can use "Versaworks" that is the Rip that come for free with the printer. I use Onix with Epson and Versaworks with Roland. They are both good rip, Versaworks only works with Roland plotters and once a month more or less you get update for free, so you have always your rip up to date for free, and it works really good also with pdf with transparence...

    But we are having a problem printing ai files that eps or pdf, its loses definition and colour differ when using layers in ai.

    I also recommend EFI XF because they use the Adobe PDF engine for converting the PDF to print data.

    I'd like a trial version as well.. a company here is trying to sell EFI to me but they won't give away trial :(

    If you need to do a proof the Best solution will be GMG Colorproof.

    If you wants a good color result you could use gmg prodution suite. Production suite have an assistant to guide you on profiling stage.

    Hi,

    First you have to ask or see the printer list supported by the RIP software.
    Only the best selected or brand printer supportred by RIP software.
    So, you have to check the list.

    Almost RIP software produce accurate color.
    The best color result is relative and depend to user or customer who use the RIP software.
