In my opinion, all color management software were developed base on basic color theory. Some focus on layout, not create ICC profile. Some including ICC profiling workflow. I used many RIP software as EFI Colorproof, Colorgate Production Server, Wasatch Softrip, PhotoPrint, Onyx, ... All have same workflow for profiling: Ink Limit - Linearzation - Gray Balance - ICC Profiling

    thanks in advance
the GMG ColorProof will get best quality if you use the GMG proof paper ,it is base on device link ,and it has a calibration function , the function will help you to get same quality everyday.
the EFI is base on icc , it is very easy to used and quality is well , but it don't have a useful l calibration function .

GMG anyway, the curves are red.
EFI old version is not good, the new version of the effect is very good.

There's a lot out there. I haven't used them all, but the one recommendation I would give...Understand how to use the program you land on correctly.
