but not for all. It of course depends of your needs.

And don't forget the most important thing: today we are far away from a real hard proof copy that will totally match the run. When you think that most all users deliver a proof which emulates the F39 whatever the final printing process…

The most important is not only the technology under the hood but also the communication throughout the process, no?

    Cheers!
i agree with you. Totally true.

GMG should be the best color management software. Colorproof results are very reliable and pantone simulation is rather good too.
The software may seem a bit complicated at first but is it great overall.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that the way to create an ICC from an MX4 profile is to export an it8 from Profile Editor, then use that to create an ICC profile in profilemaker or the like--

Just decided to swop to Fuji XMF from Trueflow, colourpath looks great and if it measures up to GMG will drop the GMG to save on Cost.

    Thumbs up

I'd like to second ArgyllCMS - it is command line tool, but there are plenty of GUIs. And the quality of the output profiles is top notch. It was and still is the major CMS software in our shop.

Actually there is a thread about it here: http://www.printroot.com/forum/f13/argyll-cms-31085/

it is only profiling software, when GMG, EFI and others are the rips.
I mean you cann't use argyll to print anything.
And argyll have some bugs. For example, if you use color spacings between the patches - there is a chance that you measurement will be wrong. realy wrong.
    Be carefull.

    Sincerelly
