For example, GMG is able to provide very good results but the procedure to calibrate a new media (not GMG) is definitely not user friendly.
But it can be worthwhile to learn how to do because you open your options so you can use any paper you choose.

EFI Colorproof is much easier to use and have more technical support that GMG.

we have been using GMG colorproof for 5 years now and i think this is the best color management program. the only important thing is to profile it, and we've only done this twice in this span.

Maybe Monaco is the best but it is no more supported or developed by Xrite!

As I have experience. CGS Color Tuner have a good price performance . The color Quality is very precise and Someone have mention about Paper. The Taiwan or Chinese Inkjet paper cause unstable color quality especially at the Yellow Color. I have try with Taiwan or Chinese Paper (Cheap one) Compare to The CGS Paper which Fogra certified (40% expensive). Just measure DeltaE on 100% Yellow on the same sheet. a good paper show delat E below 2 but the Cheap one can go u to 8. So If you go for certified quality. Please consider buy a good paper. By just check the DeltaE on 100% patch of C M Y K on the same sheet. It should below 2-3. Hope it help.

EFI is far way better than others for beginers, just follow "next","next","next", then you will have your media linearization done,,,
