    Hi cheshmack!

It happends because you are editiing only one Table and when you apply your profile, the CMM doesn't use your edited table (not the table by default).

Try to be sure to edit the correct table(s) (Rel/abs).

There is not reason it doesn't work. :-)

    Hope this helps.

    TOny

    Hi cheshmack!

    Here is the point:

You have two directions for the color conversion tables:

1: AtoB (aka A2B) = Device value (CMYK/RGB) to PCS (LAB)
2: BtoA (aka B2A) = PCS (LAB) to Device value (CMYK/RGB)

then, you have 4 rendering intents (Absolute, Colorimetric relative, Perceptual, and Saturation)

Now, you look at your screenshot, you can see RGB to LAB and an icon with P.
That means: you are editing A2B table for the rendering intent: Perceptual.

So far, the change (your editing) will happen when you attribute an ICC profile to your image.

If you want to change the color rendering when you convert your image to your ICC printer profile, it's required to change the B2A table (PCS to Device) and the corresponding rendering intent.

    In your case:
if you want to change the rendering intent, click the "P" and change for something else.
If you want to change the Table to edit, select the correct arrow (AtoB) = RGB to LAB, the bottom arrow (BtoA) = LAB to RGB.

You are talking about profiling, what do you want to do exactly?

When you save your edition, be sure to apply your editing to all Tables.

If you don't know what is Lab, etc. Just Google... ;-)

    Hope this help.

    Hi Tony14
You are talking about profiling, what do you want to do exactly?
I have a profile that had made several ago for print machine and now I make a new profile whit profile maker and when I print a photo it is dark and I want correct it whit profile editor and I have used global correction.

    In your case:
if you want to change the rendering intent, click the "P" and change for something else.
If you want to change the Table to edit, select the correct arrow (AtoB) = RGB to LAB, the bottom arrow (BtoA) = LAB to RGB.
If I understand fine I edit AtoB but don't edit BtoA . How do I edit table BtoA?

In this case, BtoA table should be edited.
However, by default, your new ICC profile should match the color rendering of your printer. SO double check before. Also, metrology is important... accurate device too..

Editing AtoB is useful to simulate the printer's rendering.
BtoA is how your RGB data will be converted to CMYK, so you impact your printed result by doing so.

Fortunately, There is no difference between editing an ICC profile on Mac or PC. At least, nothing about accuracy.

    Hope this help.

IN your case, you should select in Tab A: One ICC Profile. (not source/destination)
Because you just want to edit the behavior of your Output profile (your printer) to make it brighter.

And then look at my previous answers.

    Hope this helps.

    Tony
