    check out...

check out color logic.. their system uses one silver metallic color, and you can overlay any number of cmyk over it to achieve more than one metallic color in a single print.

It seems that the software has been replaced by Esko Visualizer.
Have you worked with PrintDevizor? Did it have more features than Visualizer?
If not, it is only for viewing 3D with special effects, not creating the color channels automatically.

Yes, Color Logic is the best option right now, you could use conventional inks and an extra silver ink to get awesome results. You could use varnish, die cut and lamination with good results

OK - What you mean - print with metalized inks or printing on metalized surface?
Whenever printing with metallic colors you must use colors for foil or vinyl.
The base color is P-877 silver - over that you can print whatever you want.
If you print on metalized surface, than use colors for foil print and overprintable white ink.

    Thanks spectroeye788,

What is P-877 Silver? Is it the color to print as 100% on white paper to simulate the metal effect? Please describe more if possible.

For what kind of printing are we speaking?

    Digitall, offset or flexo?

Pantone 877 is used as silver metallic color in offset ptinting. But there are nice metallics in different colours provided by Pantone

    MetalFX?

    What about MetalFX?

    Check it out : http://www.computerarts.co.uk/reviews/software/graphics/metalfx

It's quite famous to be only one extra ink! :)

You can make your separation with Photoshop (+plugin) for instance.

    Hope that helps.
