Esko Visualizer 7.5.x Mac - Installation problem

Last year I had successfully installed Visualizer 7.5 on my mac. Recently I had to iinitialize the hard disk. When I tried to install Visalizer again I couldn't do it, when I open the sw it gives an error message: "The license system failed the initialization, Internal error code 4". I have tried to use different OS (10.5 and 10.6) without any result.

Is there anyone who can help me? I've read in the forum that one should first install the trial of visualizer 7,5, but where can I find it? Besides, last year I didn’t install the trial before.

On the other end is it possible that it is a date problem, that is the cracked package worked in 2010 but not in 2011?

    Thanks in advance

I have no idea why it doesn't work in in your system, but I can tell you I installed it in my Macbook Pro last month (version 7.5.5) and it worked like a charm... So Idon't think it might be a date issue...

Sorry for not being of much help!

you have to re install your system (snow leopard) and dissconnect the internet and set the date before 2011 make it 2009 and i hope its gonna work
    note
there is an option to update the date automatic turn this option off

Same here, crashes when choosing "Open" or clicking on any menu command.

Got it to launch - then nothing....

Okay any claiming they have this running in 10.8 must not have launched it since they upgraded.... I was able to get past the "open-then quit" problem by using a program called AppCleaner.app to delete all related app files except the app itself and relaunched it. It opens, I can choose a file then the screen is blank.
So I declare this app dead on 10.8, something broke on the OS update.

    Thumbs up The Fix

This works for Snow Leopard with the error code 4 with Visualizer 7.5, not sure if it fixes any issue that the Lion users have. It was pissing me off as I have installed it on Tiger and Leopard without issues in the past so I started tinkering and came up with this fixed which did the trick for me..

After installing following the regular constructions and when you run the app you get the internal error code 4, don't panic.

Go to Visualizer in your apps folder and show package contents and make your way to /Contents/Resources copy the Tools Folder to somewhere convenient like your desktop.

load up terminal and navigate to where you put the Tools folder.. ie:
    cd ~/Desktop/Tools

run the shell script in the folder

    ./install_fnp.sh

Now try running Visualizer. Boom, runs cherry now. My guess by looking at everything is that the newer OS use a newer version of the Flexnet Publisher licensing manager and that script will install the proper version you need, 11.5.0, thus correcting annoying error. Possible that if some people don't have the problem its because they installed something else that put the correct Flexnet in. Thats my uneducated guess at whats going on anyways.

Hope that helps some people out and its a valued contribution :)

    Cheers
