Yeah, I'd love to see Adobe implement these kinds of features, as opposed to adding frivolous things like 3D. In practice, the way that Adobe works is that each sub-development team has their own fairly long list of potential features. Management places the highest priority on features that they think will appeal most to new users and their existing user base. When Adobe gets multiple requests for something, it moves higher up the list.

We could help influence Adobe by posting on their Illustrator Feature Request forum: [Anonymized link]

I agree with many other posters, that their software packages are very expensive and prohibitive for many small business like my own to be able to design our own packaging. Hopefully this acquisition will allow some offerings at a cheaper price point, maybe with more limited features but still enough to be competitive in the packaging business.

Well, doesn't seems as you hope at all.
Version 10.1 of Studio Toolkit for Flexibles and Studio Visualizer costs more than 10.0.

Yeah, I agree.
Also I want to add Kodak killed Creo and Creo killed Scitex.
I used to work as a Creo engineer for 6 years.
I really liked the way they were thinking, but kodak....

I agree. But this time it looks like Danaher is just the investment company. Though I could be wrong. There is a Danaher tool company in the US.

Adobe also killed FreeHand. Though I disliked FreeHand MX. Preferred FH9 (it's gray interface is very similar to PackEdge).
